Terms of service

The service

Visual PDF Studio is a web application for organizing, editing and combining pages of PDF and image files. The documents are processed in your browser, on your device. Some features need a free account; Pro is a paid subscription.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You must give a real email address that you can receive mail at. One person, one account.

Your documents

Your documents remain yours, and we never receive them. Because they are stored only in your browser, you are responsible for keeping copies of anything important: clearing your browser's data, or the browser deciding to free space, removes them. You must have the right to use the files you open with the service.

Plans, payment and cancellation

• The Free plan has the limits shown on the pricing page.
• Pro is billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account; Pro then stays until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not renewed.
• If a payment fails, Pro continues for a short grace period while payment is retried, then ends if it is not resolved.
• We may change prices or limits for the future; a change to a paid plan applies from your next renewal, after notice.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to attack it or other people's systems, to get around its limits by automated means or by creating accounts in bulk, or to resell it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will always be. Once loaded, the app keeps working on your device even when our servers are not reachable. We may change or end features; if we end the service, we will tell account holders in advance.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

Ending

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
